MEET THE MYSTIC ALPACAS

The Mystic Alpacas is a six piece band of seasoned musicians from Central Pennsylvania. They began twenty years ago when saxophonist Randy Bucksner teamed up with guitarist John Healy to form The Main Street Mystics to perform their original songs and favorite jazz covers.

The direction changed when Randy joined a blues band called Wake Up Call with guitarist and vocalist Mike Hess. Mike, Randy, and John Healy connected, and with that The Mystic Alpacas began.

Bassist Doug Flurry, another veteran of the local scene, joined about five years ago. Besides laying down a solid bottom he also assists on vocals and does the band’s social media.

Talented keyboardist and vocalist Chris Iverson was discovered at a local jam dubbed the Quarantine Club. He was too good to let go, and now has been a key member of the band for several years.

Newest band member is drummer Peter Mastropietro. He is a solid and articulate player and it’s good to have him.
